Zoning Board of Appeals

Due to the Town’s COVID-19 response all applications must be submitted electronically to [email protected]. Paper-only applications will not be accepted at this time. Please contact the Building and Land Use Department with questions regarding zoning and land use applications, payment, meetings, etc. Upon electronic submission of an application, applicants will be notified of the application fee due. Fees must be paid by check made out to: Town of Andover and mailed to: 17 School Road, Andover, CT 06232. *Per Town Regulations, an application cannot be considered complete until the required fees have been paid.


About the Commission:

According to Section 22.0.4 of The Andover Zoning Regulations (amended to 4/18/11) the Andover Board of Appeals is charged, “to authorize upon appeal in specific cases variances from the terms of these regulations, where by reason of exceptional shape, size, or topography of lot, or other exceptional situation or condition of the building or land, exceptional difficulty or unusual hardship would result to the owners of said property from strict enforcement of these regulations.”

This Board meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm. Please contact the Zoning Agent with any questions regarding this Board.
