Children's Halloween Costume Parade

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2020 FROM 3 TO 5 P.M.

This is a safe, family-friendly event for Andover residents, outdoors at the Andover Town Gazebo, located on School Road between the school and Town Office Building, rain or shine.

Sponsored by the Andover Recreation Commission.

All candy, snacks, etc. will be pre-bagged and distributed by recreation commission members.
Andover Fire Department will also distribute treats.

Come dressed in costume. Decorate your car or truck "trunk or treat" style -nothing to be distributed by trunk participants.

Attendees please wear masks and social distance.

Limited spots are available for decorated vehicles, please call (860)983-7442 to reserve a spot.

 

The CDC Guidelines outlined must be adhered to for this event:
Traditional trick-or-treating is a high risk activity so the Recreation Commission has decided to hold a "one-way trick or treating event" where it will be a hand and go social distancing event. Based on the CDC guidelines, this event would be considered a "moderate risk".
Trick or treat participants will park in the school parking lot and will be instructed when to leave their car to join the line. The line will start at the gazebo where each child will be handed a goodie bag by a Recreation Commission member who will be wearing gloves and a mask. The next step is to view the decorated trunks that will be located in the Town Office Building parking lot. The final step will be at the fire house. All participants and attendees must adhere to the following;
Wear a mask if your costume mask isn't made of 2 or more layers of breathable fabric that covers the mouth & nose. Do not wear a costume mask over a protective mask if it makes it hard to breathe. Do not wear a costume rubber mask over another face covering of any kind.
Remain six feet away from people outside your household at all times.
