A benefit for the Andover Friends of the Library
How does it work?
Purchase tickets and take chances to win one (or more!) of 27 gift baskets on display at the library. We have all sorts of themed-baskets which will appeal to all ages. On Monday, December 19th at 5:30PM, one winning ticket will be drawn for each basket. Winner need not be present to win.
How much are tickets?
$1 per ticket; $5 for 6 tickets; $10 for 13 tickets
When is this happening?
Right now! Tickets can be purchased beginning December 5th and running through 5PM on Monday, December 19th.

Basket #1 : Feel Lucky! – Gift cards from Andover Pizza, Munson's, Kohl's, and Dollar General, as well as 6 scratch-off lottery tickets.
Basket #2 : Wine Me Up! – 3 bottles of wine (KRIS Pinot Grigio, Francis Coppola Merlot, Four Vines Chardonnay), plus 4 stemless wine glasses, and cocktail napkins. [Ages 21+, please].
Basket #3 : Cozy Night In – a blanket, a box of ginger peach tea, candle, biscotti, coffee, goat milk lotion, and an insulated mug.
Basket #4 : Jam It by Janet – 6 jars of homemade preserves from the kitchen of a library patron.
Basket #5 : Happy 175th, Andover! – items celebrating the 175th birthday of the Town of Andover in 2023, including a calendar, t-shirt (size L), recipe book, and commemorative ornament.
Basket #6 : A Bounty of Barbies – four Barbie dolls, plus accessories and a Barbie book.
Basket #7 : Tea Time – A mug imprinted with a book theme, plus 2 boxes of tea, shortbread, apricot & almond biscotti, and a jar of preserves.
Basket #8 : This & That – Small electric heater, sherpa seatbelt wrap, face masks, a USB charger/wallet, decorative wolf, and more.
Basket #9 : The Cat's Meow--Purrfect! – Lots of treats and toys for your favorite feline.
Basket #10 : Movies & Snacks – several DVDs and candy to accompany your viewing.
Basket #11 : May the Force Be With You – Star Wars throw, DVDs (#s 4, 5, & 6), socks, books, coloring books, and a mask.
Basket #12 : Dinosaurs, Geodes, Books, & Movies – books & movies with a nature theme, plus several toy dinosaurs, and geodes to break at home.
Basket #13 : Kids Coloring Collection – several coloring books and lots of crayons.
Basket #14 : Take A Closer Look--Handmade jewelry from Suzanne Heise – 4 hand-beaded necklaces, 4 pairs of beaded earrings, and a beaded bracelet, too.
Basket #15 : Easy Readers – books for the young reader.
Basket #16 : Got Ginger? – Lots of ginger candy and tea, plus a handmade gingerbread cowboy puppet and storybook.
Basket #17 : Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Basket – Christmas goodies including a coloring book, puzzle book, Christmas books, rubber stamps, and more.
Basket #18 : The 70s Revisited – Have a nice basket with 3 music CDs from 1970s-era performers, a DVD about the 70s, a dreamcatcher, and five nips bottles. [Age 21+, please].
Basket #19 : JA Soap & Candle Co. Basket – Goodies from the JA Soap & Candle Co. in Sterling, CT, including a candle, soap, gift certificate, and more.
Basket #20 : Christmas Movies & Snacks – 3 DVDs filled with Christmas movies, as well as candy, cocoa mix, popcorn, pretzels, and a Christmas mug.
Basket #21 : Doggone Good Treats--Woof! – Treats and toys for your favorite pup.
Basket #22 : Bottoms Up! Craft Beer & Snacks -- 5 New England beers (CounterWeight Headway IPA, New England Brewing Co. SeaHag IPA, Labyrinth Turbo Love Juice IPA, Two Roads Holiday Ale, Kinsmen Brewing Husky Hops Hazy IPA), plus peanuts and potato chips from Trader Joe's. [Ages 21+, please].
Basket #23 : Cheers! It's Christmas! -- One bottle of Mussio Pinot Grigio, plus a snowman ornament, Christmas towels and decorations, 3 gently-used Christmas CDs, a new copy of "Love Actually" DVD, and a Christmas book. [Ages 21+, please].
Basket #24 : Breathe! Yoga Essentials -- A yoga block, peace bracelet, an eye mask, tea bags, hand lotion, and a coupon for one free yoga lesson at YONO Yoga & Meditation in Willimantic.
Basket #25 : Sit Back With Award-Winning Films -- Several new and gently-used Academy Award-winning and/or nominated DVDs, plus an inflatable chair.
Basket #26 : Kids Books & Games -- Several books and games for the young reader, all packed in a handy, reusable Andover PL bag.
Basket #27 : BIG Art! -- Though too large to fit in a basket, this is a 5-panel art installation that measures 60 inches high x 75 inches long. It is signed "Tarantal 1970" and depicts a rainbow.
