Andover Town Administrator

The Town of Andover, CT is seeking a qualified applicant to serve as its Town Administrator.

Position Overview:

The Town Administrator shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Town of Andover responsible to the Board of Selectmen for the supervision, direction and administration of all Town of Andover departments, agencies and offices, except the Board of Education and Town agencies whose head or members are elected by popular vote.

Qualifications:

  • A qualified candidate must hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree.
  • Experience with strategic planning and municipal management.
  • Experience with preparation and administration of a public-sector budget.
  • Experience with public sector collective bargaining units, Connecticut labor practices and procedures, and employee management.
  • Experience with obtaining and managing grants.

Transfer Station Attendant

The Town of Andover is accepting applications for the part-time position of Transfer Station Attendant.  Hours are Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Employee would perform administrative and service work to achieve smooth operation of the Town Transfer Station. Board Pool Clerk

The Town of Andover is accepting applications for the position of a part-time, as-needed Board Pool clerk to take minutes at various Town Board and Commission meetings.  Applicants must have related experience, with municipal experience preferred.
