ATTN: Andover Farmers Market is looking for a new market master for summer of 2019. There will not be a market this summer while the committee continues to meet and decide how to proceed in the future for the best way to hold a market and get more farmers and vendors involved.
Thank you to the residents of Andover who supported the market these past four years and to our neighboring towns as well.
The Summer Farmers Market begins Friday June 23 at 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the Town Hall parking lot.
Cutting opening ribbon for the summer market will be First Selectman, Bob Burbank, state Senator Steve Cassano and state Representative Robin Green.
Our farmers are BB Brewster Farm, Dondero Orchards, Falscraft Farm, Fiano Farm, Forest Edge Farm, Twisted Oak Farm and Western View Farm. They will sell fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, plants, jams, jellies, maple syrup, eggs, beef and more. Many vendors selling oils, lotions, pampered chef, food, jewelry, organic soaps, softwares, and more. Our event this Friday is Cindy’s Animals On The Gi show and our entertainment is Tamburo Band from Andover. Beverages will be sold. Please call 860-916-6122 with questions.
The Andover Farmers Winter Market closed on Saturday, February 25th with a raffle item donated by our vendors and farmers. The proceeds from the raffle were enough to donate $100 to the Andover Elementary School 6th grade Student Council for their garden. We also had enough to donate $100 to the Andover Food Pantry. What an awesome way to end our market! People were graciously buying tickets to support these two charities. Thank you to everyone in town and our surrounding neighbor towns who stopped by to see us each market day.
