Olde Andover Burying Ground Sign

Trails Day Cemetery Tours

On Sunday, June 4th, rain or shine, The Olde Andover Burying Ground Committee will offer tours from 10 AM to 3 PM to more widely introduce our old and story-bearing cemetery (at the corner of lower Cider Mill and Hebron Roads) by participating in the Connecticut Forest & Park Association Trails Day.  This day is a State wide hiking/biking initiative to get us outdoors and use the  Connecticut Trails, such as our HOP RIVER TRAIL, to appreciate the sites of history and nature along the way.

This half hour tour will introduce visitors to real 18th & 19th century people who worked with much ingenuity to build their lives, families, community and leave us a heritge that inspires us today.

Connecticut Trails Day pamphlets will be available at the Andover Town Hall and Library by mid May.  The tour is open to all, wether you come off the trail, or your street, free and fun.

Please call Mike Donnelly, Cemetery Historian, at 860-742-7427 with questions.  We look forword to seeing you there.
